Flying Geese Table Runner, by Jennifer Parks
Friday, July 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m
When the Firehouse Quilt Show Committee ladies saw the beautiful display of Flying Geese Table Runners at Holly’s Quilt Cabin, and the variety of colors used for the table runners, we immediately thought that this project would be perfect for one of our classes at the Quilt Show.
We talked to the manager of the store, Kari Nichols, and she graciously agreed to lend us one of her teachers for the class. After working out a few details, Jennifer Parks agreed to teach the class, and we are delighted! Jennifer’s easy going teaching style will make this class fun for everyone. Learn more about Jennifer on our website under CLASSES.
Students will have so many color choices that it will be exciting to see the variety of options. You will also learn techniques in cutting and sewing the strips. The table runner pattern features the Creative Grids Quick Trim Ruler which will speed up the cutting of the angle for the triangle, although it is not absolutely necessary, just a quicker technique. FHQ will have extra rulers on hand for students to use. You can make this as a “quilt as you go”, or assemble the top and then top-stitch the table runner. Both methods will need binding to finish the table runner.
Holly’s Quilt Cabin will give the students who sign up for this class a 15% discount on supplies when you present you Confirmation Receipt.
We hope to see you at the Flying Geese Table Runner class, Friday, July 19, at 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
