On February 1st, nearly 45 members met at the home of Cathy D for an outdoor quilt collection. The weather cooperated and was around 50 degrees, so working outside wasn’t a horrible experience. This quilt collection day resulted in a record 361 quilts being turned in which is an all time high for FHQ. In addition to the quilts there were 37 pillow cases, 3 crocheted blankets, 13 bags, and 75 darling baby hats turned in by the members. Because it had been nearly 12 weeks since the last collection day, we were extremely busy with folding and bagging quilts. It was wonderful to have nearly ten people helping with this project.
