Stars and Stripes Table Runner by Carolyn McCormick
Saturday, July 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
If you’ve ever thought about learning paper piecing and were hesitant to attempt the technique, this is the class for you. Stars and Stripes is being taught by Carolyn McCormick, an accomplished teacher, designer and author of several paper piecing books.
The Stars and Stripes Table Runner is a new pattern and those first timers who take this class will find it easy to learn the basics of paper piecing. Carolyn McCormick will give a short demonstration and then you can get started. The project has two blocks, set on point, that you will paper piece. A beginner should have no trouble learning the assembly of the blocks. Remember to have your material cut to the sizes listed on the supply list, and you will sail right through.
Carolyn McCormick is a delightful teacher. She is very attentive and helpful to her students, and very “hands on.” She will even pick out seams for you. The Quilt Show Committee took a class from Carolyn not too long ago and those that have had time to finish their quilts will be displaying them at the show. You can see pictures of our class here.
