Every fall the members of Firehouse Quilts are invited to a weekend known as the Appreciation Event. This year 30 ladies attended the event at the gorgeous setting in the Roxborough Community Center. The activities include door prizes, catered dinner and lunch, gifts, a small demo project, and many hours of sewing and fun. For at least 15 years the Board of Directors has honored their members because of their gratitude towards them for their hard work throughout the year. There was also a history corner with quilts, literature, calendars, photos, newsletters, and quilt show programs set up by Mary that provided a great deal of information about FHQ since 2003.
