On January 18, 2018, the sew day was packed full of surprises and fun. We were literally packed in the room with 40 quilters working away on their quilting projects. The ladies of Firehouse Quilts surprised Mary P., a long time member of FHQ, with a delicious cake and a round of Happy Birthday for a milestone 80th birthday. There were two generous donations to FHQ during the sew day. Janet, who is moving to California, donated three tubs of her stash as well as 36 quilts of assorted sizes. Mary Margaret stopped in and donated 20 pieced tops that will be quilted in the near future. Our thanks go out to these two ladies for their thoughtfulness and generosity. Their donations allow FHQ to continue with their mission of making quilts for children in crisis.
