Wollongong Modern Quilt Guild in New South Wales, Australia recently put out a plea on Facebook for quilt blocks. The blocks were to be either a tree or leaf pattern, and will be used in quilts for families who have lost their homes and ranches in the horrific fires in Australia. Wollongong Guild will be making the quilts starting in March. The generous members of Firehouse Quilts made a nice variety of 87 blocks for this special project. They have been sent off to New South Wales in the hopes that we will be able to see some of the finished quilts that will be made.
