On February 20, Firehouse Quilts members Carolyne and Susan delivered 46 quilts, tote bags, pillows, and stuffed animals for the yearly Sweetheart Dance at the Southbridge Recreation Center in Highlands Ranch. The dance is held for the young adults, ages 16 to 24, in the Therapeutic Recreation Program. These items are used for their raffle during the evening. The Center was expecting up to 80 young adults attending. Summer and her team are so appreciative of all we bring. We were able to meet with five of the young adults who are in the program. We took several pictures of the group, holding quilts and stuffed animals. They thanked us many times for everything we do to help make their dance a success. This is the 13th year that Firehouse Quilts has helped to make this dance a success.
