On October 14th and 21st, four Firehouse Quilts members volunteered at the Florence Crittenton High School. The high school provides pregnant and parenting teen mothers with an education, human services contact, day care for children 6 weeks to Pre K, and the Baby Bucks store. Because of Covid 19 the students are getting their classes remotely on line. Their children are currently able to attend day care at the school. The Baby Bucks store is available to the young mothers to get the necessities that their babies need. They earn the “bucks” for some of the baby items by attending classes and being sure to get their assignments finished. The FHQ ladies were able to restock and organize the diapers, formula, clothes and miscellaneous baby items. They also put the donated FHQ quilts into backpacks that will be handed out to 115 students on November 9th. Thanks to Cathy, Joyce, Christie and Jacque for helping out at this special school.
