On January 19, 2017, Firehouse Quilts members met for their first Sew Day at Shiloh House in Littleton. There were 42 excited members who came to enjoy the surroundings of the new location and seemed thrilled to have 6 hours to work on a quilting project. The new location is spacious, has a kitchen, and provides ample room for storage. There were 52 quilts turned in for the Bed Turning which gives us a good start in 2017 to rebuilding the inventory of quilts needed for donating to multiple agencies.
It was good to see so many new faces in the crowd joining in with making quilts for children in crisis. There will be two Sew Days a month on the first and third Thursdays. Check here for more details.
