At 5:00 am on June 11th, a family in Lone Tree had a house fire. This fire was witnessed by Sandy H, a member of Firehouse Quilts, since she lives just two doors away from the home that was burning. She heard sirens and smelled the smoke which lead her outdoors to see the frightening fire. In the house there were four cousins staying with their Grandparents who all safely escaped the fire. When Sandy saw the small girls, she knew they needed to be comforted with quilts and thankfully she had four at her home. Once the girls were safe in a neighbors home she delivered the quilts to them, bringing much needed comfort. Our thanks to Sandy for the personal delivery of quilts at a time of need.
