Firehouse Quilts recently received two generous fabric donations. Three bags of fabric were donated by Esther M., an energetic 94 year old who lives in Illinois. She still hand pieces her tops and then has a group of Amish ladies quilt them for her. May all of our members still be quilting when they are in their nineties! The second large donation of fabrics comes from the mother of Andrew P. who delivered five boxes of fabrics to our recent sew day. The members of FHQ enjoyed opening the boxes and seeing all of the treasures that were in them. It is through the generosity of caring people such as Esther and Andrew that we are able to continue our mission of making quilts for children in crisis.
