Jenny, the Deputy Director at Help and Hope Center in Castle Rock, received 72 quilts on November 12th from Firehouse Quilts. The quilts will be used in the Santa’s Sharing Program as gifts for children who face possible homelessness because their parents are unemployed or are single parents. An order for toys and other items will be placed for Christmas gifts and it will be filled by volunteers at Help and Hope. Once filled the orders will be picked up for Christmas day.
Another program Help and Hope is involved with is called Keep The Heat On. They are raising funds to help families pay their utility bills. The pandemic has made it difficult for people to meet this need. The goal of Help and Hope is $50,000.
In addition to the quilts they received two afghans, ten receiving blankets, and three baby hats.
