At the two sew days in October there were a total of 101 quilts turned in resulting in a total for 2019 of 1,213 quilts. As the end of the year approaches, the need for quilts will increase with cold weather conditions, which makes this total a welcome number. The sew days were bustling with ladies and one grand daughter, Ellie, who helped turn in quilts with her Grandma. At the October 24th sew day Barbara C turned in quilt number 1,200 to the cheers of the FHQ members. Despite snowy and cold weather, 25 brave volunteers made an appearance to work on their projects and gather more fabrics and batting.
