Arvada Fire and Rescue recently received 28 quilts from FHQ. When we began our relationship with Arvada Fire, we were taking snuggle quilts for children who were transported to area hospitals. In the past year that has changed and we are now delivering more adult quilts. These quilts support the Arvada Fire effort to work to help more seniors with their “fall prevention” program.
The next effort that Arvada is working to implement is one of having social workers available for 911 non-violent calls. Our quilts will be used as part of the comfort that will be offered in this new program. We wish them well is getting this new initiative off the ground.
