On April 28th a group of 20 Firehouse Quilts volunteers were able to beat the blizzard in order to enjoy a retreat at The Hideaway in the Black Forest. Everyone was settled in and sewing as the storm arrived on Friday afternoon. The snow and wind continued through Saturday and there was over 10 inches of snow as a result. Despite the weather, everyone enjoyed working on their personal and FHQ projects, the friendship of one another, and watching the beautiful scenery created by the spring snow.
