On August 5th, a donation of 26 quilts was given to Diane, who works with the Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence (SPAN) in Boulder. Since 1979 the shelter has been a safety net with services for vulnerable low income and at-risk populations. They provide shelter and advocacy for victims of domestic violence, including adults and children. Counseling, legal advice, housing rentals, education, and safety planning formation are offered to those who need it. Services are offered to moms, dads, children, and single people who live in Boulder and Broomfield counties. Firehouse Quilts hopes that the quilts donated will bring comfort to those who receive them.
