On February 7, 2021, Sara V and her husband delivered 48 quilts to Barbara C, who works for ChildSafe in Fort Collins. This non profit helps to break the cycle and heals the trauma from childhood abuse and neglect. In 1986, ChildSafe treated 10 victims in need and they now help 700 – 800 clients a year, with some being as young as two years old. Clients receive specialized treatment, education, and community outreach while dealing with overcoming abuse. ChildSafe works with law enforcement, child protection agencies, schools, medical professionals and mental health experts to bring the proper care to their clients. Barbara has a contact in Ft. Collins who donates lovely fabrics to Firehouse Quilts. At the time of this quilt donation FHQ received a generous donation from them and we thank them for their generosity.
