In January many people helped to provide quilts for the Marshall Fire families. Not only were there donations coming from Colorado, they also came from across the United States. A big thank you goes out to Holly’s Quilt Cabin for being a drop off center for the quilts. They collected 522 quilts at their location. Quilts were also received through FHQ members who belong to other groups. They came from Castle Rock Quilt Club who donated 30 and the Faith Quilt group of Cherry Hills Community Church who donated 30 quilts. Danielle M, from Monument, Colorado sent four quilts. Thirteen beautiful quilts were donated from Heavenly Quilts in Washington and others came from Augusta C in Virginia. Seven quilt tops were donated from Wanda D in Texas, three tops from Nicole R in California, and seven more from Milee P in Nevada. Anna, a long distance FHQ member in Arizona, sent three gorgeous quilts.
When Firehouse Quilts asked for help to collect quilts for the Marshall Fire families, we never dreamed there would be such an outpouring of generosity. We thank everyone for that.
