Lieutenant Zavala of the Boulder Fire Department shared a heartwarming story with us of how the work we do at Firehouse Quilts was able to bring some comfort last week. After a car accident, two children were taken to the hospital by a police officer while their mother was transported by ambulance. Thankfully, the fire department had two Firehouse Quilts on hand, which they gave to the children. We couldn’t be more proud that during this difficult time, our quilts were able to bring some solace to two frightened children and help them feel safe and supported. We wish the entire family the best, and hope the quilts can remain a source of comfort while the family recovers.
